Hope for Hawks!
Today's painting represents the final day - Day 30. I have tremendously enjoyed this round of 30 paintings in 30 days. Thanks so much to Leslie Saeta as well as all my new artist friends who have been both inspirational and encouraging. Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to leave comments and provide dialog on topics that interest us all.
The palette for today was meant to be very specific: dark blue and bright green (explanation below).

If you (or anyone you know) follow sports at all, you may realize that the SuperBowl is being held here in Phoenix , AZ this weekend - my hometown. Supposedly this weekend is being described as the "center of the sports universe". For all golfing fans the Phoenix Open is happening here in Scottsdale at the same time - which includes most of the major icons in the world of golf.
Amid all the craziness and all the events, what it all boils down to is: lots of people and festivities; lots of traffic; additional security everywhere and a general frenzy in the Valley of the Sun...which today happens to be more like the Valley of the Rain - a rather unusual occurrence in the desert...
At any rate, it's all good and it's all fun...
The reason for the choice of colors in my painting of primarily bright green (Green Gold) and blue (Indanthrone Blue) is because these are the colors of the Seattle Seahawks. Having lived in Seattle, they are still favorites in our household. So - all I can say for this final painting of the 30 days is - Hope for the Hawks...
Go Seahawks!
