Diptych - Part 2 - The Sea

Here is the accompanying part of the Diptych of the Sea shown yesterday. I spent a great deal of time on a sailboat throughout Florida and the Atlantic Ocean including many of the hundreds of inhibited and non-inhibited Bahamian islands, I have enormous respect for the beauty and possible treachery that the sea can hold.

Colors used in the Diptych:  Quinacridone Gold, Green Gold, Indanthrone Blue, Phthalo Turquoise and Cobalt Turquoise.

Diptych - Part 1 - The Sea

"The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient.
One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea."

Sanctuary

Vortex of Creation

Once again, I used various Quinacridones for layering and clear color.  The only non-transparent was the use of a bit of Nickel Azo Yellow at the end to highlight some of the yellow.
